How to generate favicons from a logo
One source image produces the ICO fallback, the PNG sizes, and the HTML you paste into your layout.
Start from a square logo
Use a square image, ideally an SVG, PNG or WebP with a simple, high-contrast mark that still reads at 16x16 pixels.
Set padding and background
Padding keeps the mark clear of the crop edge, and a solid background keeps the icon visible on a dark browser toolbar.
Generate and download
Press Generate favicons. The tool writes favicon.ico with 16, 32 and 48 pixel frames, plus PNG icons at 96, 180, 192 and 512 pixels.
Paste the HTML snippet
