Free 3D Model Viewer

View GLB, OBJ, STL, and FBX model files locally in your browser before review, import, or delivery.

Browser-only, private

Preview GLB, OBJ, STL, and FBX files locally before import or handoff.

How to view a 3D model in your browser

Open GLB, OBJ, STL or FBX files locally, with no upload and no account.

  1. Open the file

Choose a 3D model file up to 50 MB, or drop it on the viewer. It is read locally in the browser tab instead of being uploaded.

  2. Orbit, pan and zoom

Drag with the mouse or use touch gestures to look at the model from every side and check silhouette, proportions and stray geometry.

  3. Check what matters for your next step

Choose the format filter if you want to accept only one type. Compare the mesh against the reference image or capture you made it from, and note scale, orientation and missing parts.

  4. Move the file on

Viewing is a check, not an edit. Once the model reads correctly, continue in the editor, engine or converter you actually work in.

3D model viewer questions

  1. 1

Does this 3D model viewer upload my model?

No. The viewer runs in your browser and the model stays on your device.

  2. 2

    Which formats can I open?

GLB, OBJ, STL and FBX. Leave the viewer format on all supported formats to open any of them.

  3. 3

Which viewer should I use for a Gaussian splat PLY?

Open the PLY and SPLAT viewer for Gaussian splatting files. This viewer is for mesh formats such as GLB, OBJ, STL and FBX.

  4. 4

How large can the model be?

Up to 50 MB per file. Very detailed meshes need more memory, so a phone or older laptop may load them slowly.

  5. 5

Why is the viewer blank or showing a WebGL error?

The viewer needs WebGL. Use a current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with hardware acceleration enabled, then reopen the file.

Quick tips

  • Use the all-format viewer when you are checking mixed assets from a 3D handoff folder.
  • Large models can pressure browser memory. Keep local previews under 50 MB for a smoother pass.
  • STL and OBJ may not preserve the same material data as GLB or FBX.
